Flood advisory issued for Duluth, Two Harbors

The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for minor flooding in southeastern St. Louis County and southern Lake County until 3:30 p.m. The advisory includes Duluth and Two Harbors.

At 11:35 a.m., heavy rain continued across the advisory area, and the Weather Service had received reports of small streams rising out of their banks in the Duluth and Hermantown areas. Also, high water was reported on Minnesota Highway 1 near Isabella.

The heavy rain is forecast to continue through about 1 p.m., and it may take several hours after that for high waters to recede.
